100% fair trade organic cotton fleece
Made of fair trade organic cotton fleece at a GOTS, OE 100 and ISO 9001 certified factory in Tirupur, India this sweatshirt meets the highest ethical, social, environmental and technical standards. The dyes used in DUSG's products are eco-friendly.
In addition to ethical sourcing and production, Do U Speak Green (DUSG) educates farmers about the benefits of switching to organic cotton and assist them through the transition. An example is a farm in the Brahmanwada village of Amravati, Maharashtra where DUSG, along with members of an NGO with expertise in organic cultivation, supported farmers' transition from conventional to organic cotton. In order to provide supplementary income during the transition, DUSG provided leftover fabric and cutting waste to the farmer’s family members, especially women. They, in turn, used the same to stitch bags by hand, which DUSG bought back from them and used for their retail sales. This compensated them for the reduced income during three year transition — as yields temporarily fall due to absence of chemical fertilizers, but eventually rise — and until the farms are certified as organic, after which they can sell their produce as certified organic cotton for a premium. Organic cultivation also reduces input costs, leaving more income to the organic cotton farmer.
DUSG is an Ethical Fashion Fellowship 500 member and certified by Fair Trade International.

In the rare instance where you receive a product that is different from what you ordered or has a manufacturing defect, please contact us immediately.
What does not qualify as a defect:
Slight variation in color shade: It is normal to find slight variation in a products color shade due to difference in viewing conditions, differences in lighting or due to your computer’s monitor. Hence this will not be accepted as a manufacturing defect.
Unevenness in the fabric’s weaving: Handwoven cloth naturally has unevenness. It is not a defect but a unique characteristic of handwoven fabric itself.
Shrinkage: In case of cotton apparel, please allow for shrinkage (roughly 5%).
Running color: In case where natural colors or vegetable dyes are used, it is normal for colors such as reds and indigo to run in the first few washes. The clothes have been dyed keeping this in mind and the fabric is intended to lose some of its coloring thus attaining a lighter, cooler shade than original.
