The BirdProject, founded by Tippy Tippens, creates black bird-shaped glycerin soaps to help fund groups performing cleanup after BP’s Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Disaster. Ten percent of profits go to Gulf Restoration Network and International Bird Rescue. Each soap contains a handmade ceramic bird made from Louisiana and Mississippi clay — a lovely keepsake once the outer soap has washed away.
Soap: Biodiesel glycerol, fair trade olive oil, aloe, activated black charcoal and Rigaud Cypress.
This vegan soap is handmade in New Orleans out of locally sourced ingredients such as glycerol (biodiesel manufacturing byproduct) ethically sourced from Columbia, South Carolina, fair trade olive oil ethically sourced from Palestine, aloe ethically sourced from New Orleans, activated black charcoal ethically sourced from Mississippi, and Rigaud Cypress ethically sourced from New York. The hidden smooth textured ceramic bird is made of locally sourced Louisiana and Mississippi clay. Each BirdSoap is carefully wrapped in 100% recycled tissue paper and placed in boxes that are made of 100% recycled paper and printed with soy inks.
To prolong the life of the bird soap, please keep in a soap dish and allow to dry between uses. Store in a cool and dry place until ready for use.
Goods that Matter does not allow returns of BirdSoaps.
