This ear cuff is designed and made with eco friendly materials in the U.S. It is made of 100% recycled metal, which comes from post consumer products such as already existing jewelry, electronics, and hardware. Recycled metal is identical in quality to newly mined metals, but without the environmental destruction and human rights violations caused by the metal mining industry.
Each piece is made by hand in Los Angeles—first created in wax by designer Melissa Erin Minney and then cast into recycled precious metals by a small family-owned foundry. All pieces are made-to-order to eliminate unnecessary waste and minimize the company's carbon footprint.
Westland Jewelry uses only recycled or fair-trade diamonds and gemstones. Recycled stones have previously adorned an already existing piece of jewelry. Using recycled stones, instead of mining new ones, reduces waste and environmental destruction. Fair-trade stones come from mines that adhere to environmental and social standards, such as paying fair wages and providing safe and comfortable working conditions.
Westland Jewelry is a PETA-Approved Vegan brand. Meaning, no animal-derived products are used—including, but not limited to, leather, animal hair, feathers, bone, silk, wool, pearl, shell, or coral.
If you are unhappy with any item in your order, Westland Jewelry will be happy to work with you on an exchange or credit, not a refund. Exchanges and credits are accepted until 5 days after an item is received. Each item is made to order and is therefore not returnable for a refund. Melissa stands by the quality of her work and will repair any piece that is defective in workmanship or materials. Sale or discounted items or custom/altered/personalized items are not returnable or eligible for exchange.
In the event of an exchange/credit, the customer is responsible for shipping costs, including tracking (required) to ensure your return arrives safely. The item must be sent back in it's original packaging with receipt of purchase. Items returned or exchanged without prior notification will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender.
